Sartorial Rivalry

Football season hasn’t even begun, and the headmen of Super Bowl XLII are already facing off from the cover’s of the fall men’s magazines. [Daily Intel]

Men’s Vogue features the NFL’s reigning champ, Eli Manning looking Trad and true in a gray cashmere double-breasted suit with a brown windowpane pattern from Ermenegildo Zegna, while the deposed modelizer, Tom Brady cuts an edgier figure on the cover of Esquire in a slim-cut gray and chalk-striped Gucci wool suit and silk tie.

As the cover stories make clear, the cuts of their suits reflect the night & day personalities of the milk-fed Manning and the perhaps-over-seasoned Brady.
