Report from the field: "One of the very best sample sales I've ever attended...all the men's clothing was 85% off!! Accessories were 70%... Outerwear, suits and sportcoats had a pretty good if not particularly directional selection (which is great because practically every single piece was utterly classic and wearable) ... maybe 30 shirts ... The selection is so small though (they literally had ONE pair of cufflinks) that if you haven't made it there by Saturday afternoon...I'm willing to bet they'll be completely cleaned out..."

Went to the invite only preview sale today and despite the fact that maybe 10% of the sale was devoted to men's wear...that was one of the very best sample sales I've ever attended...all the men's clothing was 85% off!! Accessories were 70%...
ReplyDeleteOuterwear, suits and sportcoats had a pretty good if not particularly directional selection (which is great because practically every single piece was utterly classic and wearable)...a few pants that only rich Italians with a lot of chest hair can ever hope to pull off and maybe 30 shirts...and kinda outta nowhere..a rack full of silk pajamas...
The selection is so small though (they literally had ONE pair of cufflinks) that if you haven't made it there by Saturday afternoon...I'm willing to bet they'll be completely cleaned out...
the selection is actually still pretty good -- just got back from the sale, where I picked up a suit ($600) and a pair of slacks ($60). if you are in the 38-42 size range, you'll do ok.
