Alright, we just confirmed that the Rag & Bone F/W sample sale kicks off Wednesday, 12/9, and runs through Sunday, 12/13. The official sale -- always well received -- is taking place at R&B's Christopher Street boutique, and will feature up to 70% off tons of present and past seasons' stock and samples. Not to be outdone, R&B's Soho outpost will be offering up to 50% off F/W stock, and a more mellow shopping experience.Also, the Soho shop is taking pre-orders today and Tuesday. We repeat: Today and Tuesday, the Soho shop will put aside particular pieces at up to 50% off, which you can then pick up during the official sale dates.

Considering their prices, 50% is nothing to get too excited about. Is Tuesday or Wednesday the Friends and Family day for the Sample sale? Also, Opening Ceremony sample sale is Friday.

ReplyDeleteA rep said the sale starts Wednesday, and no friends & family, which might or might not be true. The important thing to remember is that they're taking pre-orders.

ReplyDeleteI'm not too big on the Rag and Bone stuff for men anymore. Their cuts are not great, too slim fit. I'm an athletic size 38 jacket in P Smith, Varvatos, etc, i've tried on size 42 or 44 R&B jackets that cut off circulation in the arms, but the shoulders fit a DE for the giants. Quite frankly, I do not know who wears this stuff or who it fits. I'm passing on this one unless I hear otherwise.

Any leather trainers? Are the jeans of all cuts or predominantly a certain cut?
ReplyDeleteThe sale was a mish-mash of spring/fall collection stuff. Generally well organized from jackets/shirts/coats but not organized by size - so it pays to dig around if you find something you like. Ended up buying a beautiful double breasted wool coat and a long sleeve cotton shirt. THanks for the tip CB!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you're a large, you should check out their sweater table. Otherwise, pretty weak. Heavy on previous seasons (isn't it time to sell those sharkskin pants to Loehmann's?). Hardly any shirts.
ReplyDeletepretty wide selection of pants/jeans in a range of sizes. lots of sweaters that are mostly L's and XL's. Tons of blazers and outerwear in 38+. Some t-shirts, random sweaters, ties, etc out in the store. seemed like a pretty decent amount of shoes out too. the pants are probably the best deal there if you can find a pair that fit well though. snagged some for myself.

ReplyDeleteWeak for those of us who wear smaller sizes. Ties were an excellent deal at $30, snapped up 3 nice ones. T-shirts for $40? Really? Wish sizing had been better because there were some cool jackets.
