The Votes Are In

So, 70% of the roughly 60 of you who voted said “Black Friday” means nothing. It’s about what we expected, because, on one side, New York guys don’t operate like most Americans, while, on the other, it is a day off on the eve of giving season. The sales are irrelevant because -- this year anyway -- they started well before, and should extend well after Black Friday. Add to that the fact that a lot of people aren’t even shopping on what is supposed to be the biggest shopping day of the year.

  2. very disappointed with black friday 'specials' in general across the board, not just with clothing. hoping most stores realize that markdowns of 30% are merely in line with what holiday sales should be, and aren't anything special to get most people to start splurging.
