Loro Piana Sample Sale

Through Thursday, 10/8, get to the Soiffer Haskin showroom for steep markdowns on Loro Piana cashmere knits, outerwear, clothing and accessories. WSJ.com recently profiled the famed Italian textile maker, whose products are generally sold exclusively at Bergdorfs, and its eponymous Madison Avenue boutique.

Report from the field: "Treked over. Made me feel destitute. Even at 80% off (for some damaged goods) you're talking a MSRP of $2k for a sportjacket, $800 for a sweater and so forth. The deal: some seasonal pants were 75% off towards the back - but don't come and expect to spent less than $175 for ANYTHING. Beautiful quality, however. I must make more money..."

Loro Piana - Soiffer Haskin - 317 W 33rd between 8th & 9th - Tues-Wed 9am-6:30pm, Thurs 9pm-5pm - Map

  3. People are surprised that Loro Piana is expensive? Maybe you should have done some research before going.
Anyway, went yesterday and bought three shirts and paid $180. If that is too expensive perhaps Filene's Basement is more your speed.

  5. Actually, I am neither bitchy or a queen. Just a straight guy who can be a tad sarcastic at times.
