Join The Club
We never thought we'd say this, but Club Monaco is one to watch this fall. As Josh Peskowitz over at Men.Style explains, the Canadian-born brand has a new menswear designer in Timothy Farah -- a former Thom Browne protégé who's bent on bringing tailored chic-ery to the masses, i.e., truly modern cuts, grosgrain taping, mother-of-pearl buttons, and working buttonholes at the cuff for under $500. Will the fabric reflect the low price-point? Of course. But our hats go off to Club Monaco -- owned by Polo Ralph Lauren since '99, by the way -- for the effort here.

Let's just say it's easier to make inexpensive menswear sound good in a press release than to make it look good in person.
ReplyDeleteNo argument there, Anon. We'll just have to wait and see...
ReplyDeleteGet ready for a nice Thom Browne rip off. Good ol' Timothy Farah's doing what he does best... knocking off his former employer.
