  1. i assume they must be struggling quite a bit. i never saw good value or design in hamilton's clothes...very basic and with enormous markups...it turned me off so much i have a hard time supporting the label at all.

  2. Second most overpriced label behind Thom Browne. Their clothes don't fit well and fabric is nothing special. The retail should be cut by 70% to be of any value.

  5. What?!!!? it was soo good! the guy and girl who rang me up were so nice and gave me such a great deal. Yea, it was hot, but it was totally worth the wait. spring 09 deals were incredible, things i didn't even see in bergdorf.

  6. I agree about the rebel without a cause 'motherfucker' at the door...a little too obnoxious with the whole blackberry and all. But besides that (and the scorching temp. inside) I thought everything was great. I couldn't disagree more with whoever said the fabric was "nothing special". Obviously you didn't try on one of the 100% silk T's or the cashmere sweaters. I own some spring '08 (and grabbed some more yesterday!) and they are some of the most comfortable clothes I have ever worn. I thought the people were very friendly ( I was helped out by a cute darker kid with longer hair who was very kind and eager to help and Tim Hamilton's sister who really seemed to know the ins and outs of the entire line) and the prices were very fair. If you know anything about hand tailored italian clothing you know it's not the cheapest stuff to produce, so when taking that into account its hard to argue with what they mark it at. Overall I thought the '09 stuff was fantastic and the sale was well run (besides the heat factor!)

  7. These sample sales are consistently the best (both in terms of staff and pricing) I've ever seen. I can't fault those who find TH overpriced at retail, but these sales make that a moot point. The first one I went to I grabbed a chunky turtleneck, originally 7 or 800 at bergdorfs, for 20 bucks. Blue cafe-racer style calfskin jacket last year? 240.
