Raw Gap

Whoa, Gap just relaunched its 1969 denim line -- minimally adorned, medium-weight raw-denim for under $60! -- which Material Interest appears to kinda-sorta endorse. Could these puppies give $160 A.P.C.'s a run for their converted currency? We're going to have to wait 'til August, when they hit shelves, to find out.

**Update: One just found the new '69's in store, and he sounds like a very happy customer.**

  2. nota bene: not sure if these are the 'new' ones. Didn't have the blue rivet although it still had the selvage coin pocket. But it did say "authentic japanese denim" on the inside. It's the ones you see on the GAP website.

It's very lightweight, and not too stiff, both of which I like even though denim purists would probably scoff at that.

  3. I have bought most all the gap selvage they've had over the past few years. I find gap to be some of the best fitting denim (for straight leg) and I have tons of RRL and Jean Shop. I think the fit is just as good as Jean Shop, not as good but almost. and I've always gotten so many coupons for the Gap that I've never paid full price for them either. I paid 55.00 for the new white selvage ones online, using two dif promo codes on the order.
