In this week's High/Low column -- which carefully balances "the chic and the cheap" -- The Moment plasters its seal of approval on a very special $120 suit -- the result of a collaborative spring line just released by Opening Ceremony and Uniqlo. "The linen-cotton blend wrinkles in all the right places, lending it the casual feel you want for spring, while the proportion -- fitted blazer with slouchy pants -- is right in step with runway trends (think Bottega Veneta and Lanvin." But, The Moment warns, "Make sure you don’t wear it like you would traditional suits: roll up the legs and pair it with a rumpled oxford shirt (sans tie) and beat-up desert boots." Right now, see the whole line HERE, then pick it up at Opening Ceremony downtown.

Article says it doesn't hit Uniqlo until 3/19, but the whole line is actually available right now at Opening Ceremony itself (though a lot of sizes are gone by now). I usually find the OC house line overly "on trend" and ridiculously overpriced, but this Uniqlo collaboration looks great, and the price is right.
ReplyDeleteI tried this suit on in person, and the pants fit funny--too tight in the rear, not slouchy at all.
ReplyDeleteWait, it is currently available at Opening Ceremony for the same price? Can anyone confirm?
ReplyDeleteSame price
ReplyDeleteall pieces :)
mostly only in size L
which fits like a M
From here it seems to have a really bad feel about the way it fits. Too bad, I was very intrigued by the way it looked at first.
