Brioni's responding to the ongoing financial crisis with $250 T-shirts. Um, are we missing something? ... How 'bout a little e-commerce, gentlemen! A web site, even! [NYTimes.com]
meh, i don't really see them getting much mileage out of a big web presence. while they've acknowledged they're trying to "broaden" their market. Brioni isn't and never will be a huge volume seller which you'd need to be to make the web worthwhile. plus they've rightly deduced their customer knows how and where to find them.
Sad thing is that, if you go through the NYT slideshow, you see that much of the grafix on the t-shirts are cool Roman Style Brioni outfits from the 60s. If they did a Vintage or Heritage line, they might make an impact!
