How Low Can You Go

A tipster brings word that Barneys has increased in-store markdowns on much of its F/W stock to 75% off. And a more elaborate tipster tells Racked: "That means suits around $600, shirts between $70-150, blazers for $300 from their most expensive designers ... Much, much better than the warehouse sale."

  1. Checked it out yesterday, there were some deals here and there but nothing really worthy of the trip. While they say 75% off on lots of things, it's mostly the odd t-shirts and sweaters that nobody really fancies that will stay there for quite some time. They had slight markdowns on some good button downs, suits, and jackets from the likes of rag & bone, fillipa k, opening ceremony, and some obedient sons, but nothing close to 75% off. decent amount of smalls/mediums though.

  2. It sounds like you were on the wrong floor. All the brands you mentioned are on the co-op floor, which never goes below 60% (except for the stuff you mentioned, and the last couple of days of the warehouse sale). 75% off was the designer floor (third floor), and, yes, there were suits from Paul Smith for $600, shirts from Martin Margiela for $150, etc. Better luck next season.
