  2. In the beginning, the prices are usually the same (occassionally not even as good) as the lowest discount in stores (60% off co-op, 75% off designer). They then slowly drop from there, usually hitting about 50% off the Warehouse sale price about a week before the sale ends. Last time there was no additional discount the last weekend, and it did not go to 75% off on the men's side. My advice--survey what is there early on, if it's below $100, snap it up, and for other stuff, follow the discounts as posted on this site and elsewhere. Yes, stock definitely dwindles the longer you wait--although they get a little extra from LA in the middle of the sale.

  4. Really bad this time. Only shoes in my size (11) at all tempting were Prada (still over $300). Tons of stuff from last sale. Very very little new designer mersh (the Marc Jacobs rack is almost entirely M by MJ, and I saw one item by Band of Outsiders. Nothing from Commes des Garcons). Hardly tempted to return for the further discounts.

  5. I'm not a fashion whore, but I went and picked up a few things under $100, so I'm glad I was following the above advice before I even realized!

So many people who look the same, though . . . you want to look different? Look outside the confines of NYC . . or make anti-style your style and see what happens.

  6. I went today, weak crowds which was surprising for the second day.

Most of the suits were burburry, hickey, or other no-name diffusion lines.

Separate designer section where all the Etro, Bamford etc. was pulled out of all the suit, sport coat, and other category sections. Nasty stuff.

I think that the markdowns will happen faster due to the poor selection and initial prices that were the same as in the stores. Probably 25% off pants, sport coats, etc on Monday or Tuesday.
