Shorts -- with regard to their appropriate length and use -- have recently become something of a hot-button issue. To the chagrin of many, the great ankle emancipator Sean Avery single-handedly pioneered office shorts in the summer of '08. Then, last summer, a surge in man-thigh prompted rumblings of a bare-skin backlash.
This year, to give guys a little peace of mind, A Trip Down South surveyed some fellow style bloggers to determine the "correct" length of this summer staple. The results varied, but the general consensus is that a man should show an inch or two of skin above the knee -- no more, no less, and, please, no boardshorts. [A Trip Down South via Valet.]
