  1. Anyone get in and see the tie selection yet? Is it worth me making the trek after work?

  2. If you need first-rate silk ties, Anon. $100 a pop. Otherwise, the wait times and high cost of everything else make this sale less than ideal.

  4. i went today after work, and there were only 6 people ahead of me around 6pm (though today also had the latest closing time of the sale at 8pm). there were lots of ties still, in a rainbow spectrum of colors. lots of the classic Hermes cartoonish prints, but also some geometrics, stripes, and plaids. 2 leather ties were available. there is a separate box of skinny ties, but you have to ask them for it. all priced at $98 (except for the leather ties). there was a small selection of silk pocket squares and scarfs (ranging from $78-170). pricing for everything else (RTW, leather goods, and shoes) was pretty much insane.

  5. This sounds exactly the same as last year, in terms of prices, selection, etc. Some really beautiful (and also some really silly) ties, so if you need one world-beating piece of neckwear, maybe you can drop $100. I'll admit I picked one up last time around, but I've been too afraid to wear it. Pretty much everything, though, is a little too expensive.
